The Master's Workshop SLH
Mission Statement
The Mission of The Master's Workshop Ministry, is devoted to creating a unique, structured, and nurturing atmosphere that allows recovering addicts the right to self-forgive, be forgiven, and realize that “recovery” is a beautiful and humbling journey of self-love in sobriety.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to provide every addict or alcoholic seeking recovery through a 12 Step Recovery program a safe, structured, and affordable residential
facility where they may be free of all mind and mood altering substances and find the opportunity for a new way of life. We will facilitate and
focus a community effort, in the spirit of unit and cooperation, to assist those members of our community who are seeking recovery. We will work to have the recognition and respect of the Community as a viable
program for recovery.
Core Values
We believe that chemical dependence is a serious disease and that abstinence from alcohol and drugs is just the beginning. Healthy and continuous sobriety requires real change and a transformation in attitude and outlook on life. We care for and nurture our residents as they develop the necessary skills to build a rich, full and balanced sober life. We help them find the courage to change those beliefs and behaviors that no longer fit the person they want to be.
[32] And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4:32
Community
We believe that lasting, emotional sobriety cannot be achieved alone. At Master's Workshop Sober Living Recovery Home you will find a family of individuals committed to a “we” program of recovery and who work together to create a treatment plan and sober living environment conducive to growth, support and accountability.
24 And let us be concerned about one another in order to
promote love and good works, 25 not staying away from our
worship meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each
other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

Hebrews 10:24-25
Compassion
We believe that reflection brings clarity and that recovery provides an opportunity for individuals to embrace their own uniqueness through honest self examination and an inventory and accounting of one’s soul, both liabilities and assets. At Master's Workshop Ministry Sober Living, we judge no one. Through compassion and empathy, we open our hearts to each individual’s pain, struggles and disappointments. We share
in their spiritual journey to explore and find their infinite potential. In doing so, we encourage each resident to be proactive and accountable for their own recovery and to address their challenges by tapping into their inner strengths and resources.

12 Suggestions
The 12 Steps are a suggestion and not a requirement for recovery or membership in Christians in Recovery. They have been the foundation for the recovery of thousands of people and most say that they never would have successfully recovered had they not followed them. Each person in their search for spiritual, emotional and mental wellness must decide how to work and apply these 12 Steps to their life.
Honesty about your past as well as the present is essential.
1. We admitted we were powerless over our addictions and dysfunctional behaviors, that our lives had become unmanageable. (Romans 7:18)
2. Came to believe that God, a Power greater than ourselves, could restore us to sanity and stability. (Philippians 2:13)
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as revealed in the Bible. (Romans 12:1)
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves. (Lamentations 3:40)
5. Admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs. (James 5:16)
6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character. (James 4:10)
7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings. (1 John 1:9)
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all. (Luke 6:31)
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others. (Matthew 5:23-24)
10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it. (1 Corinthians 10:12)
11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as revealed in the Bible, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out. (Colossians 3:16)
12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others, and to practice these principles in all our affairs. (Galatians 6:1)
Recovery Home Testimonies
My name is Dennis Candler. Regarding Master’s Workshop how it had helped me to make a change life. First and foremost, I would like to give all the honor and glory to Our Lord Jesus Christ. My past was total darkness. For me life was only whatever happen day by day, no direction. All this eventually lead me directly into drugs, and cover up the pain I felt. Making many attempts to cover up my failures in life, which was never accomplished.
Growing up I knew of the Lord, but was lacking a relationship with Him. I was overwhelmed with the world. After many years in a marriage failed because of the things I allowed myself to be caught up in. Even after this I continued to feel a void in my heart with drugs not knowing the void was the need of a Savior. Finally, after so many struggles in my life I asked God to come into my life and become my Lord and Savior. God led me to the Master’s Workshop where I can, praise & worship His Holy name. Today I am a new man. My walk with the Lord is intact. The void is filled, serving the Lord with only the joy He can give, Amen.
First of all, I want to give all the Honor and all the glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I Aaron Dudley
was lost and blind growing up, all I wanted to do was work, go to the clubs and live the life the world wanted me to be. I never really knew Christ growing up but when I was young, I remember going to a couple of services but I was only there because my family took me. When I went to go live with my mom in Israel Jesus was out of the picture, all I did in Israel was steal, party, and lived a religious life. When I came back to America when I was at my lowest I cried out to God I was in a marijuana addiction that I could not shake, that same day after crying to the Lord for help a brother came by with a flyer that lead me to the Recovery Home/Christian Ministry. I realized I was led to the truth and then had started the change in my life. My belief in God shot up in me. I was once lost but now found and now blessed that God has led me to the truth I have always been search for the truth. Now I am in the transformation of my life to become more Christ.
I Michael Jackson
would like to say the ministry has taught me a lot. He gave me structure, when I had lost it. As to bringing me to the Lord and taking control of my life back. Like simple hygiene, having me want to look good and that made me feel good. Keeping anything neat and in order. It taught me about the Lord and His many blessings for I was once dead now I am alive. Was once lost now I’m found. For I know that I am a child of God and that He loves me. Through His grace and mercy, I am saved.
My name is Troy
I lost the love for man and myself, all I’ve done is work most of my life. The home has given me the love for all, it’s hard at times. I’m trying to do better; things are getting better. I want that love I had. I want it before I go and see my mother. Some people may not understand this, but that’s okay. I am here on earth for a short time. I am not here for man I’m here for me and God.
I Carlie Jones
states how The Master’s Workshop had made a believer out of me, to believe in the Holy Spirit. It had me reading the bible to get a meaning about why God wants me to be a better person in this world, and to get along with people and to be a better person to myself, and to stop believing other people and what they say and believe in the Holy Spirit. I got to know what God’s word means in the bible and to stay off of drugs. Getting back with family members going to church and just being a better person in this world.
Will’s
testimony: In the last five years I’ve been in several recovery homes. Pastor Chuey started this ministry from almost nothing. He has told stories many times. No matter whose Pastoring this ministry. God’s will for the calling of Godly men in the world is to help save lost souls in cities everywhere. Men with addiction problems can find the Lord’s refuge here, and be delivered throughout time. Here at this sobering center we try to find a balance spiritually & naturally. This particular program has a work program that I can see potential in my life. I have a savings & bank acct. A job with a great environment for a Christian, and I’m healthier than ever before. Pastor Victor and Irene and the Spirit of God endures me with the plans for a great future.
I Lawrence Franklin what has this ministry done? My time here has fallen. I have received a different kind of comfort. Strength, not physical but through the Holy Spirit. Which has given me a healthy prayer life, where I’m really learning to talk to God, like I can see Him in person. Since I have been here, I don’t take the trees, sunshine, the grass, the birds singing, the meals, showers, the men, or even God for granted. I’m accepting my priorities, and doing not my will because my will is futile. My person today is to follow and listen to the Holy Spirit. I’m learning to listen I’m tired of living for myself today. I’m taking this time to be still. I am in no rush. I’m learning scriptures a little bit at a time. I’m learning not to be ashamed of the gospel or my past, I’ve thrown away the guilt. My first love today is Jesus, and today I’m working for the Lord for His glory. So, I’m moving ahead with Jesus as my guide in everything I do, bless the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
I Reynaldo, first of all I want to give my Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ all the honor, all the glory, and all the praise for the salvation of my soul and the forgiveness of all my sins. For I came to the home tore up from the floor up, wasted on crack cocaine, alcohol, nicotine, and an ugly bitter character that people would even ask if I was mad or if I was okay. I was what people called a functional addict. Good jobs, good pay and no progress in life because of my ex addiction. Thanks be to God that when I was in the prime of my mess. The good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ was presented to me. I was just told that no longer I had to live the way I was living. I knew there was a God, a creator of the heavens and the earth and defiantly didn’t know that I was created to have a personal relationship with Him. God loved me so much to the point that He gave His only begotten son to die the death of a criminal shedding all of the blood of Jesus on that cross to wash away my sins, and that way delivered me of any guilt or condemnation. I heard and received the message by faith and here I am today living a new life, and yes, my sin was great, but the love of my God is greater. To God be the honor, the glory the, praise and all the worship.
